Alumni to assist orphans, vulnerable children

The ‎International University, Bamenda Alumni has expressed determination ‎to assist the less privileged people, especially orphans and vulnerable children in the area of their educational needs so as to enable them become useful members of the society.

‎The chairman, Bauchi state chapter of the Association, Dr. Musa Mudi Jahun ‎who disclosed this ‎at the first Interactive Congress  meeting of the association at the Demonstration hall, federal Polytechnic Bauchi on Monday restated the commitment of the association to carry out research and professional services for the advancement of the society.‎‎

Dr. Jahun who said one of the objectives of the Alumni is to project the image of the Alma mater through positive contributions to the society added‎ that the Association will do everything possible  towards growth and development of the nation.

According to him, “human development is the key aim of IUB Alumni association in Nigeria and I assure you of our readiness, as leaders of this association to look into various areas of human development among members and the society and assist where possible.‎ So, I urge you members to be good ambassadors of Bamenda University of Cameroon through exhibition of good behaviour and unity among diverse ethnic groups”.‎

On his part,  the national president of the IUB Alumni Association, Dr. Kunle Badamosi who presented a paper, ‎titled “bridge the gap”, called on the members of the Association to use their wealth of experiences to close up any existing gap in the society for national development.

While urging members to come together and help the new leadership of the association in the state to take the Association to greater heights, the national president advised the Bauchi state Chapter chairman to use his vast experience to carry everybody along in the discharge of his responsibilities.‎

In his goodwill message, an associate professor from federal University Kashere, Professor Ibrahim Adamu Sale opined that for the members to close the gap, they must be committed and consider themselves as one.‎
