APC National Caretaking C’ttee pays tribute to Dass Emir, Family of Bauchi murdered lawmaker

The Chairman National Caretaking Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni has condoled with Emir of Dass and family of Hon. Musa Mante Baraza who was brutally killed by unknown gunmen in his home town on Thursday night.

Mai Mala Buni in a three-man delegation led by Professor Tahir Mamman, said the entire APC family was shocked by the untimely death of Hon. Musa Mante.

“The APC is greatly touched by the painful exit of Musa Mante who died serving the interest of his people.”

“Hon. Musa Mante worked tirelessly to serve and defend the interest of his constituents, thus left behind a vacuum that cannot be filled”, Buni said.

Mai Mala Buni described Hon. Mante as a dedicated member of the APC saying, “the party has lost a relentless member who left legacies within the party that would be remembered.”

The Chairman prayed to Allah to give his family, relatives and friends the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

On his part, Emir of Dass, Othman Bilyaminu Othman thanked the APC for the visit saying, condolences flow two ways as both the party and the people of Dass are deeply saddened by the death.

“Dass Emirate Council has lost a workaholic son in the shoes of Musa Mante who does not get tired when it comes to serving his people,” the emir said.

Earlier speaking, Bauchi State APC Chairman, Uba Ahmed Nana said the delegation are in Dass to condole the emir and family of the deceased.

Commenting on behalf of the family of the deceased, Hon. Aminu Abdullahi urged the party and colleagues of Musa Mante to provide succor to the family of late Hon. Musa Mante “because he left behind over 20 children and three wives.”

The delegation was received at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport by Speaker Abubakar Y Sulaiman and members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly as well as the Bauchi APC Chairman, Uba Ahmed Nana.
