The Bauchi State House of Assembly has on Wednesday asked Governor Bala Mohammed of the state to construct Nasaru to Gwam and Balma to Arinja roads in order to link the communities with Ningi-Burra road in Ningi Local Government Area.
In a statement made available to newsmen through his spokesperson Abdul Burra, the Speaker of the state’s Assembly Abubakar Suleiman in a motion he personally moved, urged the Executive arm to construct the road.
The Speaker noted that communities of Nasaru, Balma, Gwam, Arinja and many others in his constituency are suffering due to lack of accessible road network.
He described the roads as nightmares to the affected communities, adding that they were hindering national growth and development.
The Speaker commended Governor Bala Mohammad for his commitment in bringing direct life-touching programmes towards the betterment of the people of Bauchi State by giving emphasis on the rural development.
