The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission has disclosed that it had dismissed civil servants due to violations of work regulations in some ministries, departments and parastatals (MDAs).
The commission stated that this measure was taken to ensure staff discipline and adherence to work rules, as well as to serve as a deterrence to others.
The chairman of the commission Alh Abubakar Usman, disclosed at the ongoing ministerial press briefing tagged ‘Actualizing My Bauchi Project‘ aimed at providing updates on the activities of Bauchi State government and its MDAs.

Alh Usman said those dismissed were from the Bauchi State Pension Board, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Hospital Management Board, due to their involvement in falsifying records and fraudulent employment practices.
He said from 2019 to 2024, the commission has achieved success in recruitment and promotion of deserving employees through the conduct of promotional exams.
The chairman noted that the commission has received accolades for its dedication and compliance with government work regulations from various organizations.
Alh Usman commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for his efforts in ensuring the welfare of employees by timely payment of monthly salaries, pension and continuous settlement of gratuities to retired personnel.
