Shamsu Abdu Dauda has emerged as the new Head Of Department (HOD) of the Mass Communication Department, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi after an election was conducted on Monday.
Dauda began his career with department as a part time lecturer before he becomes a permanent staff. He holds Masters Degree from a Malaysian University. Currently, he is a Principal Lecturer with the department.

WikkiTimes learnt that Dauda was elected to head tge department unopposed, succeeding Bello Madaki Beli who served for about five years in that capacity.
The HOD-elect, in a post on his Facebook page thanked the staff of the department for the mandate and confidence given to him, calling on them to collectively work for the success of the department and make the institution proud.
“With gratitude to the will of the Almighty Allah, the most High, the election to the Office of Head of Mass Communication Department, The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has just been concluded and I was elected as the substantive HOD unopposed.

“Thus, I wish to thank you all, my great colleagues, for this mandate and confidence given to me. This task is not mine alone, but that of all of us. We must all, therefore, rally round and ensure that the Department of Mass Communication continues to rise to the highest levels of academic excellence and make The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi and the Mass Communication family proud,” he posted.
