The Bauchi state government says it will partner with the federal government to construct culverts as well as rehabilitate part of the road affected by flood along Bauchi Gombe Highway in Lariski village of kirfi local government area.
The State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammad who gave the indication after inspecting the area, expressed determination of his administration to take advantage of the area in promoting dry season farming for overall development of the community and the state.
Senator Bala Muhammad who said his administration is committed to meeting the need of the people, maintained that agriculture is one of the areas that will be used to create job opportunities.
The governor tasked the contractor handling the project to ensure speedy completion to avoid creating hardship by the road users
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works and Housing, Engr. Steven Abubakar said the quick intervention of relevant authorities was to prevent escalation of the flood on the road.
On his part, the project engr. Mr Shar Ben informed the governor that all necessary materials have been mobilized to ensure its timely completion.
