Bauchi Speaker charges Muslims to explore the miracles of Ramadan to end COVID-19

Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Abubakar Y Suleiman has charged all Muslim faithful to explore the benefits and blessings of the month of Ramadan by praying fervently for Allah’s intervention to end the spread of Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

In a Ramadan message to the people of Bauchi State, the Speaker congratulated all Muslims in the State for witnessing this year’s blessed month of Ramadan.

“Fasting as an act of worship is very important to any Muslim.

“Allah (SWT) says that supplications offered at sunset after breaking the fast are not rejected by Allah. These are just few of hundreds of blessings of the month.

“I therefore call on all of us to make use of the opportunities and miracles Almighty Allah provided in the month of Ramadan to pray fervently for the end of the pandemic corona virus facing the entire world”, he said.

Abubakar Suleiman added that apart from coronavirus, lassa fever and other diseases ravaging the country, the economy of the country and many other social ills are posing threat to the existence of the nation, hence the need for sustained prayers.

He therefore advocated for massive prayers across the country so that Almighty Allah will come to the rescue of the country.

The Speaker who enjoined wealthy individuals and businessmen to defy hiking the price of goods and services in this trying period, also admonished Muslims to be their brothers keepers by helping one another especially the less privileged.

He applauds Governor Bala Mohammad for the various measures taken to fight covid-19 and lassa fever in the State.

Suleiman said the human face that the Governor gave to all the actions and regulations he has taken to fight the diseases are commendable and worthy of emulation.

The Speaker call on people of the State to be law abiding and respect all the measures taken by the government which he said are for the best interest of the State.
