Bauchi speaker congratulates governor Bala, says judgement puts to rest legal tussle

Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman has congratulated Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad over the final validation of his election as Governor of Bauchi State by the Supreme Court, today.

In a congratulatory message to the Governor and all people of Bauchi State, the Speaker described the judgement as victory not only to the Governor and his party, but to all people of Bauchi State.

He added that the judgement, which put to rest all legal tussles and bickering, should be seen and accepted as the supreme decision of the Almighty God who gives leadership to whom he wishes and at the time he wishes.

“We should all set our party and other differences aside and put our hands on deck for the growth and development of our dear state.

 “In seven months that governor Bala Mohammad held sway as Governor of Bauchi State, he has demonstrated high sense of patriotism by putting Bauchi State on the path of rapid development and growth to the effect that the State is wearing new face in all sectors and facet of human endeavor.

“This has so much endeared the governor to all people of Bauchi State irrespective of party affiliation because his giant stride in a short period of time has proved that he is a people’s prayer answered, ” the Speaker said.

Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman urged the governor to put what happened during the elections and the legal battles at his back and embrace everybody for the overall development of Bauchi State.

He assured the Governor and people of Bauchi State that the State Assembly under his leadership will continue to partner with the Governor for smooth running of the affairs of the State in the interest of all people.
