Bauchi state government has launched an aerial spray on quella birds, to curtail their excesses on agricultural produce in the state.
The state governor Bala Mohammed says an aircraft is expected to visit about thirty eight roasting sites across the state within one week.
The governor says the invasion of quela birds in farmlands in some part of the northern Nigeria is a major challenge confronting farmers.
The state director, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Muhammad Yusuf noted that, the quela birds control programme is one of the many consolidated efforts of the ministry’s drive of ensuring food security.
