BREAKING: PDP’s Auwal Jatau has won Zaki rerun

Honorable Auwal Jatau of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared winner of Saturday’s Zaki Federal Constituency re-run election.

The Returning officer, Professor Ahmed Kutama while declaring the result said Auwal Jatau got a total number of 15,405 votes to defeat his closest rival Umar Tata of the All Progressives Congress  (APC) who polled 15,307 votes.

Our correspondent reports that Jatau is the current commissioner of health in the state.

The results of the Gamawa local government federal constituency is yet to be announced.

The contest into the Gamawa local government federal constituency is between Madaki Ahmed Gololo of the PDP and Isa Muhammad Wabu of the NNPP.
