President Mohammadu Buhari has appointed the Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami as minister designate.
Born in 1972 in Gombe, Pantami is an erudite Islamic scholar with vast western education.
Pantami who studied Computer Science at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, obtained his PhD from Robert Gordon University, in Scotland.
Dr. Pantami was appointed to head NITDA by President Buhari to help rebuilt ICT infrastructure in the North East Region, especially in areas marred by the Boko Haram insurgency.
Isa Pantami was on Tuesday appointed a minister designate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by President Buhari, subject to his confirmation by the Senate.
