The Executive Secretary of Tertiary education trust fund (tetfund), Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro has donated the sum of N2.5 million to the Bauchi State Muslim Coalition on COVID-19.
The donation is coming barely few days after the successful first round of distribution of palliatives to the less privileged people of the state by the Muslim Coalition in the state.
A press statement made available to WikkiTimes on Friday by the Chairman Publicity Sub-Committee of the Coalition, Dr. Hamid Adamu Muhammad said the group has continued to receive donations from philantropists within and outside the state.
“The highest monetary donation of 2.5 million Naira was the latest donation made to the Coalition by Professor Suleman Bogoro, Executive Secretary of Tetfund”, the statement noted.
It pointed out that the donation may not be unconnected to the successful flag off and distribution of packaged food items in some local government areas across the state by the coalition.
The Coalition therefore, called on well to do persons within and outside the state to donate generously to the group to enable it support the needy in order to cushion the effect of the current partial lockdown of the state
