Entertainment entrepreneur to train 10,000 women on personal brand

Chioma Onoshakpor, an entertainment entrepreneur and founder of Abuja Summer Festival, says plans are underway to train 10, 000 women on how to develop their personal brands.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday, Onoshakpor, who runs the acclaimed holiday festival, said her 2019 mandate was to these women to enable them become their own bosses

According to her, 1000 women are participating currently in the brand empowerment training program tagged, ‘Boss Babes’.

Explaining the importance of the training, Onoshakpor, who refers to herself as the ‘personal brand boss’ said, “Personal branding is marketing you as a brand. But you need to know who you are before you can market you.

“The three E’s of personal branding is to ask yourself, what can I do easily, what can I do effectively and what can I do efficiently.

“Any answers outside these three questions cannot be your personal brand.

“My mandate in 2019 is to train 10,000 women to identify their personal brands and push them to greatness. This I do virtually or in physical spaces.

“I do physical and virtual classes on whatsApp and telegram. I also teach daily via my instagram handle @personal_brand_boss,” she said.

According to her, the Boss Babes initiative is a women empowerment program and like other empowerment programmes in the world, it will have direct impact in the economy.

Onoshakpor added that her goal was to help women come out of their shells and start their own businesses; a re-orientation, which she says has started on a great note.
