The Department of State Security, DSS has withdrawn its personnel attached to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, multiple sources told WikkiTimes.
Sources told our correspondent that the Governor requested the DSS Director in Bauchi to replace some men of the department, whom the Governor was not comfortable working with, but the Director was not willing to comply with the Governor’s request.
Asked why the governor wanted some men of the service replaced; WikkiTimes’ sources say “the governor had it on good account that those guys were sending secret intelligence to the Director who is very loyal to ex-Governor MA Abubakar”.
“So, by implication, MA Abubakar is in the picture of all that is going on within the administration, and no one would like that”, one of our sources added.
WikkiTimes could authoritatively report that the former director of the secret police had since been transferred to Abuja and new one has resumed duty yesterday.
WikkiTimes reports that the DSS attached to the Governor were withdrawn since last Saturday and have not been restored to his security detail as at the time of filling this report.
