Faculty of communication, BUK holds workshop on Investigative Journalism

Faculty of communication, Bayero university is set to welcome renowned Ghanaian Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas at a workshop on investigative journalism.

The workshop which is supported by MacArthur Foundation will feature lecture series and experience sharing with journalists, academics and students of the faculty.

The Ghanaian investigative journalist has won several awards and is known as a fearless and adversarial investigative reporter.

Anas’ undercover stories spans high profile investigations on human rights, corruption and illicit financial flows from across the world.

The convener of the workshop and Chairman MacArthur grant implementation committee, Professor Umaru Pate was recently quoted as saying that the essence of the workshop series was among other things to inspire young practicing journalists and students deepen their capacities in investigative journalism.
