Federal Civil Service Commission Gets New Leaders in North East, Central, West

Daudu Jalo, Adamu Husseini, Aminu Nabegu, Hindatu Abdullahi, Shehu Aliyu and Odekunle Aduke have been named as the new sheriffs for Federal Civil Service (FCSC) in North East, North Central and North West.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved their appointments alongside six others from the southern part of the country with Professor Tunji Olaopa as their leader. However, they are subject to the confirmation of the Senate.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja yesterday.

According to the formation, Jalo is to represent Adamawa, Gombe and Taraba states, Husseini will represent Niger State and FCT, while Aminu Nabegu will oversee Jigawa and Kano states.

Abdullahi will represent Kaduna and Katsina states, Aliyu will represent Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara states, while Aduke will represent Kogi and Kwara states.

“Upon confirmation, the new FCSC leadership is expected to commence work with effect from November 30 2023 as the tenure of the current leadership Chairman and membership expires November 29.

“The President anticipates that the new FCSC leadership will competently facilitate the transformation, reorientation and digitisation of the federal bureaucracy.

“This will enable, and not stifle, growth and enhanced private sector participation in the development of the Nigerian economy, in full adherence to the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Ngelale stated.
