Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) to immediately set up a Judicial Panel of Inquiry to probe the claim allegedly Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, a member of the House of Representatives from Plateau State that All Progressives Congress (APC) has persons in the judiciary to do APC’s bidding on election cases before the Courts.
Gagdi is a lawmaker representing Pankshin/Kanam/Kanke federal constituency of Plateau under the platform of APC and the chairman of the house committee on Navy.
In a viral video by Gagdi, one of the APC leaders, quoted as saying “We have gone to Appeal Court and the final destination is the Supreme Court and we will meet there. That is where we will know whom they know and they will know whom we know”.
His words were interpreted as the public boast that APC has conspired with the judges particularly in the in the Appeal and the Supreme Courts.

In reaction to the alleged claim, PDP, through its national publicity secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba said Gagdi’s statement confirms the suspicion that the APC has set up a special team to allegedly induce certain judicial officers to deliver judgments against the PDP.
The main opposition party claimed that the recent judgments by the Plateau State Election Appeal Court Panel are the outcome of the APC plan.
However, Gagdi refuted such claims about him, saying he had no hand in the appeal court verdicts that nullified the election of PDP members in Plateau.
According to him, PDP woes in the state are the repercussion of the party’s failure to adhere to due process in conducting its primary election.
