How 18-Year-Old Boy Murdered Housewife In Kano

Police Command in Kano State has arrested an 18-year-old teenager Abdulsamad Suleiman for allegedly killing a 21-year-old housewife identified as Rukayya Jamilu at Danbare Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government of the State.

In a statement made available to media houses by the Force Public Relations Officer SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa on Wednesday, recalled that on February 12 the Police was notified by the husband of the deceased when he met her in a pool of her blood motionless on her bed alongside two of his children with grievous injuries.

The statement explained that upon receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police of the State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, ordered a team of detectives, to proceed to the scene, where they rushed the victims to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano and the housewife was examined and confirmed dead by Medical Doctor while the two other victims admitted.

“On receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi raised and instructed a team of detectives led by SP Ibrahim Hamma, Divisional Police Officer, Dorayi Babba Division to proceed to the scene. The team moved to the scene and rushed the victims to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital Kano where the housewife was examined and confirmed dead by Medical Doctor and the two other victims admitted.

“Investigations conducted by the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department and DSS led to the arrest of the Principal suspect, one Abdulsamad Suleiman, ‘m’, 18 years old, of Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters, Gwale LGA Kano State and his accomplice, one Mu’azzam Lawan, ‘m’, 17 years old of the same address”. Part of the statement read.

The Command added that the suspect confessed that he went to the house of the deceased greeting her, saw three Mobile phones and took them.

Sulaiman, having realized that she recognized him, used a wooden-made pestle and repeatedly hit her on her head and also hit her two children and left with the Mobile phones.

He further confessed that he gave one of the Mobile phones to his accomplice and sold the other two at Twelve Thousand Naira while his friend was arrested and also confessed to having sold the mobile phone given to him belonging to the deceased at Two Thousand Naira.

CP Dikko, warned that criminals will have no hiding place in the State advising them to either repent or leave the State completely.

He also thanked the Kano State Government, the people of the State and other security agencies, urging them to remain prayerful.
