Achraf Hakimi, a Morocco-based player of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) made headlines as he smartly humbled his divorce-seeking wife, Hiba Abouk.
The player, according to report, had registered his wealth in his mother’s name and that helped him when his wife filed a divorce case, demanding half of his asset.
Abouk, a mother of two, took the PSG star to court to finalise the settlements after the divorce proper.
Unknown to her, the 24-year-old Moroccan Hakimi has not been saving his wealth but in his mother’s name.
About 80% of his monthly salary (around 1 million Euros) goes to his mother, the court confirmed.
Abouk was expecting an equal share of her ex-husband’s €70 million worth and demanded separation but was shocked to find out the football star had no cars, houses, jewellery or properties in his name including clothes.
The former lovers’ relationship worsened following the recent sexual assault allegations against Hakimi in March 2023. He was accused by an investigating judge in Paris over an allegation of rape and placed under judicial supervision and was forbidden from contacting his alleged victim but allowed to leave French territory.
However, his lawyer, Fanny Colin, however, said the player “strongly” denied accusations made against him.
