IHS Nigeria donates PPEs worth millions of Naira to Gombe state government

A Lagos based telecommunications company known as IHS Nigeria has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) worth millions of naira to the Gombe state government.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Gombe State Government, the Deputy Governor of the State Dr. Manasseh Daniel Jatau thanked the company for remembering the state in its corporate social responsibility.

Jatau said the items donated will go a long way to impact on the quality of health services to the people of the state particularly as it affects the prevention and the treatment of the covid-19 Pandemic.

He said the Government of Gombe State is always conscious of the health of the people adding that above all considerations of the present administration of Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya the health sector comes top of the agenda.

The State Deputy Governor said eventhough the State Government has declared a State of emergency on the Education sector, the health of the people supersedes any other considerations because it only takes a healthy person to go to school.

He said the partnership between Gombe State Government and IHS Nigeria should not stop at the donation alone but should extend to areas of mutual benefit.

Dr Manasseh Daniel Jatau said the present administration of Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya is desirous of lifting the State from the narrow prism of growth to the ever expanding concept of development.

He assured IHS Nigeria that the items donated will be delivered and used for the purpose they are meant.

Representative of IHS Nigeria Abel Oroniyi said the company is committed to socio development growth as well as the wellbeing of the people in communities where they operate.

Items donated include 94 cartons containing medical gloves, disposable over shoes cover and full body suits, safety goggles, oxygen mask and concentrators.
