The New Nigerian People’s Party ( NNPP) has reclaimed its seat of a member representing Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano State at court of appeal.
National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal had earlier ruled that Mukhtar Umar Yarima of NNPP was ineligible to contest having presented a forged primary school certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The appeal court has ruled that the Tribunal has failed to establish that the lawmaker has forged his school certificate.
The appellate court on Saturday disagreed with the tribunal, saying the tribunal had failed to establish a case of forgery.
