The Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Bauchi Local Government branch has distributed hand sanitizers worth thousands of naira to some primary healthcare centers within Bauchi metropolis.
The Chairman of the branch, Comrade Abdullahi Imam said the distribution of the items was aimed at contributing towards tackling the spread of coronovirus.
Imam said that the association will come up with new initiatives to compliment the efforts of the state government in overcoming the situation.
He tasked the management of the benefitting health facilities to make good use of the items to prevent the spread of the virus.
The Chairman therefore called on the citizens of the state to comply with the advice given by medical experts so as to prevent themselves from been infected with the disease.
