Police Arrest Four Armed Robbery Suspects In Bauchi, Recover Motorcycle, Others

The Bauchi state police command has announced the arrest of four persons suspected to be involved in armed robbery activities.

A press release issued to journalists by the Police Commissioner in the state, Mr Sylvester Abiodun Alabi on Friday said that the suspects were arrested by detectives of the Bauchi State Police Command in connection to the case of robbery.

The Press release which was signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, SP Ahmed Wakil, said that the suspects were apprehended for allegedly attacking one Salisu Muhammad of federal low-cost Bauchi on 30th April 2021 at his residence.

According to the PPRO, the suspects include; Kamaluddeen Adamu 22yrs, Murtala Muhammed 22yrs and Ahmad Muhammad 19yrs, all of Railway area of Bauchi Metropolis.

He said after attacking their victim, the suspects made away with one Jincheng Ladies Motorcycle, Cash sum of N45,000, Four bundles of wrappers, Six cellphones of different models and one HP Laptop.

 SP Wakil who said one Jincheng ladies motorcycle was recovered from the suspects as exhibit added that the other robbery suspect terrorizing Zaranda-Takanda Nabordo towns along Bauchi/Jos road was also arrested.

 According to the PPRO, the suspect, one Usman Abdullahi was discovered to be in possession of a brand new Bajaj Motorcycle which he claimed to have purchased recently.

 ‘The circumstances surrounding his possession of the said motorbike was suspicious following which he was arrested and interrogated. He confessed to have acquired it from the proceeds of Kidnapping in Zaranda and Burgel Dass L.G.A”, he said.

The PPRO said the suspect further revealed his fellow conspirators to include one Kabiru Officer of Busi village, Sani Umar of Tafawa Balewa as members of their syndicate.
