Stop complaining about politicians, think of assisting the needy—Group urges Nigerians

A group known as Help The Needy Within Jos Project has cautioned Nigerians to stop complaining about their leaders or politicians and think of helping the needy according to their abilities in the society.

The convener of the project, Anas Yunus who stated this in an interview with our correspondent on Saturday, questioned the moral rights of people who always complain about politicians while refusing to help the needy within their reach.

“What have you done to ameliorate the hardships of people? Start something now, it’s rewarding”, Anas pointed out.

Yunus who is also known as Sheikh Sheikh said, “We can’t always rely on government or elected politicians to help the needy in the society, more especially at this trying moment. We are all stakeholders on this. With your naira and my naira, we can do a lot and put a smile on the faces of the most vulnerable”

He said that more than 200 people have benefited from the project in which each beneficiary got 5 measures of rice, 2 measures of beans and 4 pieces of spaghetti.

Among the beneficiaries are people that cut across Rafin Pa area, Tudun Wada, Anguwan Hausawa and Anguwan Rogo/Rimi streets.

He said the idea of help the needy within Jos and environs project was conceived  by some well spirited individuals following the declaration of total lock down of the state for 7 days in an attempt to curb the spread of corona virus.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Lami Musa thanked the the group for the gesture, praying Allah to reward them abundantly
