Study Team Lauds Bauchi State Governor For Sustaining Peace

A study team from the National Institute for Security Studies, (NISS) Abuja, on Monday in Bauchi commended the state governor, Alhaji Bala Mohammed, for sustaining peace and security.

Mrs Emiloye Oyeyele, Team Lead of NISS Syndicate Course 14, told the governor that the team was in the state to learn from him how he had successfully sustained peace, security and good governance.

She said the team, comprising 50 participants wanted to learn from the state and from the governor how peace had been sustained in the state.

She said the institute recognised the governor’s achievements in many sectors and would like him to share his success stories with participants so they could learn from them.

Oyeyele said Course 14 training was for senior officials from different security agencies in Nigeria and from some African countries.

“The National Institute for Security Studies in Bwari, Abuja, offers nine-month training programmes for the West African sub-region and also engages in research,’’ she said.

In his remarks, Gov. Mohammed urged the course participants to find lasting solutions to the challenges of insecurity in the country.

He said that his administration was working assiduously to tackle challenges bedevilling critical sectors like education, health, security and the economy.

The governor urged the participants to make recommendations that would assist leaders in providing good governance, adding that his administration was ready to welcome such advice. (NAN)
