A WikkiTimes review of the National Bureau of Statistics data for FAAC allocations has shown that Bauchi state got a total sum of N69.72 billion as local government allocation between January and December 2023.
Every month, the federal government and states share revenue made from different sources among the three tiers of government.
Further analysis shows that with twenty local governments in the state, it would mean that on the average, each local government area in the state received the sum of N3.486 billion as allocation in 2023.
There have been concerns about how monies received by local governments are spent with issues of poor accountability and lack of impacts of the funds at the grassroots a major concern.
