WikkiData: Northern States Budgeted Over N200 Billion for Govt Houses in 2023

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicated that N221.8 billion was allocated to expenses in Government Houses across the 19 Northern states in the 2023 fiscal year.

StatiSense, a data hub, revealed that Kogi, Zamfara, Adamawa, Taraba and Borno States topped the list of the Northern states that allocated more to their respective government houses in 2023.

While Kogi and Zamfara earmarked N32.5bn and N30.7bn, Adamawa, Taraba and Borno allocated N18.8bn, N18.4bn and N17.2bn respectively.

On the other hand, states with the least allocations to government houses in 2023 include Bauchi, Sokoto, Yobe, Kwara and Kaduna States.

While Bauchi and Sokoto allocated N2.9bn and N3.7bn, Yobe, Kwara and Kaduna allocated N4.1bn, N4.2bn and N6bn respectively.
