The former governor of Yobe State Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim has passed on while receiving treatment for a protracted illness in Saudi Arabia.
The former governor and former Senator representing Yobe East died on Sunday at the age of 75 years.
Senator Bukar was the first civilian governor of Yobe State elected from 1999 to 2007.
Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni confirmed his demises in a statement through his DG of Press and Media Affairs Mamman Mohammed.
The late Senator was the husband of a serving lawmaker Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, the member representing Gujba, Gulani, Damaturu, and Tarmuwa Federal Constituency.
