The names of 85 locals kidnapped from Wanzamai community of Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State has been released.
The locals including women and children were abducted yesterday, according to BBC Hausa.
Speaking to the medium, a parent who said her 15-year-old was abducted expressed concerns about the condition of the children in captivity.
“We are worried because we don’t know the condition of our children in captivity,” she said.
Another parent disclosed that every household in the community was affected by the unfortunate incident.
“If your child is not involved, definitely one of your relatives would be among the victims,” he said.
Mohammed Shehu, spokesman for Zamfara Police Command could not be reached for comment.
