America, Democracy and its glaring double standard

After sponsoring the ouster of Al-Bashir in Sudan for being an “Islamist”, the US propaganda team now seems to be taking its next step at finally nailing the erstwhile Sudanese leader down to his grave since his people were not as nasty and less clandestine than the moronic Libyan rioters who had to barbarically scatter the body of the man who gave them milk and honey their whole lives.

In its derive towards the spread of democracy, it sponsored the Arab spring. The Arab spring swept Egypt, Syria and Libya. It spared all the gulf monarchs. It could not topple Bashar-al-Assad, bit it planted ISIS which destroyed Syria completely. It also destroyed the home of ancient Islamic historical monuments and architecture. The madness called Arab spring killed Gaddafi and destroyed everything Libya ever had, from piece, security, tranquility and abundance.

Significantly, the spring swept away the only true democracy Egypt ever had in its chequered history of Israeli and American interference. After destroying the very democracy they wanted us to imbibe, the Americans supported a dictator in the name of Sisi to take over the leadership of the land. Backed by the Military, the guy is now set to to rule Egypt for the next thirty years, may be for life,!

One of the campaigns against the Sudan’s Al-Bashir just sprouted here in Nigeria, alas, as crude as anything made in Nigeria. Some jack asses began to circulate this photo as that of one time Minister of Defence under the leadership of the fallen Sudanese President. The story variously says the former Minister was dumped in prison in 2006 and later declared dead in 2012; only to be discovered in this state in a dungeon built “under a Mosque”, and so on and so forth. All these are preparatory ploys to create the monster in him in order to stain his record with those who know him not, to justify his arrangement before the so-called international court of justice. This script has been written a long time ago; decades ago. The Americans can be a patient people in matters like this.

However, this is just as a hoax as the cache of foreign currencies “discovered” hidden by the fallen leader only last two weeks. I was actually pissed off when I read the story of that cache. In fact I got mad inside me when I saw the picture of the so called cache being tolled down on a trolley. So Al-Bashir, in three decades of his rule, never found or even suspected of laundering foreign currency, will stash away such a very insignificant amount of currency to the dictator he was built for is to believe! Ok, to keep American dollars in his official residence to do what with it when he could not even visit America? Some contraptions simply do not have the capacity to convince even the jack ass!

A fake trending picture originally from a devastating drought in Kenya

Now, back to this picture trending here in Nigeria. Those who cared to google for the picture actually found out that it is one of those shared after a devastating drought in Kenya a few years ago. When I checked myself, I saw it there, along with several other sorry pictures like it. But many online Nigerian media and very prominent persons, dubious as they are known to be, however, spread this as a fact.

If the United States so believe in Justice for the poor in countries other than itself; if it ever cared for responsible leadership in other nations of the world; if it ever gets truly concerned about others practicing its democracy as a way of social justice, why then is it taking very glaring double standards? It has to manufacture disaffection to get Gaddafi killed and move towards hanging Al-Bashir using the very people for whom these leaders earned the wrath from the American, but it leaves other leaders such as the Saudi Arabian leadership to stampede on the very principles of governance they are busy forcing down the throats of other nations.

It is Saudi Arabian leadership that is practicing aristocracy, not democracy. It is a leadership that is 100℅ dictatorship where kings rule with fiat and stay in power until they die. Even then, only the siblings of the demised ruler can succeed him. They coerce their people to toe their biddings and they squander state resources believing it belongs to them. Well, they even believe the people belong to them. This is do with all other monarchs in the gulf states The Saudi terror in particular is no longer confined to their land; they have to export it to other countries with impunity as in the case of the brutally murdered journalist, Khashoggi, whose body was mercilessly dismembered alive on the soil of another sovereign state by the instruction of the Saudi state!

And then, nothing happened. And nothing will happen. Today, all the Arab Gulf states are under monarchy. The Americans want us to believe that these countries deserve to be exempted from their crooked advocacy for justice and inclusive leadership as “enshrined in democracy”. Well, we are not fools. We are not slaves. But we know we are overpowered. Nonetheless, real justice is bound to happen sooner or later; if not in our time, it will happen at a time when those who need it most are bound to be in charge of global affairs.
