Banditry: Zamfara Governor resettles displaced communities

Zamfara state Governor Dr Bello Mohammed Matawaale has resettled six communities displaced by banditry in Zamfara state.

A statement by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications Zailani Bappa said the resettled communities include Lilo, Fura Girke, Kowha, Kundumau,Yargeba and Bunduge.

The communities were displaced for more than six months as a result of the ongoing banditry in the state.

The state Governor commended the commitment of the Security operatives in the state and appealed to the communities to intensify prayers.

Matawale appealed to communities to continue cooperating with the government in its effort to liberate the state from the menace of the bandits.
