Bauchi Gov signs three more MoUs in Berlin, Germany

Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed has signed three more Memorandum of Understanding in Berlin, Germany with some reputable German Multilateral bodies, a statement by his media aide, Muktari Gidado has said.

In a brief ceremony witnessed by the Ambassador of Nigeria to Germany, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, the agreement expresses a convergence of interest between the Bauchi State Government and the German companies indicating an intended common line of action.

It is on records that the Bauchi State Government under the inspirational leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed has signed a number Memorandum Of understanding to define a clear cut policy direction for a people and result oriented programs through partnership and collaboration to developed the State economy.

In the agreement  Signed with Mrs Simone Andrae  ,the Chief Executive Officer of BetterECOG ,  it was agreed that the company will partner with Bauchi State to empower local farmers with a focus on the development of value  chains around Five crops of Ginger , Turmeric ,  Sesame ,Seeds , Hibiscus , flower and Cashew.

 The idea according to the agreement is for the project to transfer organic farming skills to the beneficiaries which is expected to achieve EU import standards certification which would enable the companies export their products with a view to ensuring access to global market opportunities.

 Furthermore, it was also agreed that the CEO of the company will be engaged as a consultant to the State for accessing other aids and grants that are readily available within the international community.

Similarly , under the second terms of the agreement  signed  with  the Chief Executive Officer of better ECoG , the company will partner Bauchi State Government under a  collaborative agreement with Trgenius GmbH to primarily  source for funding to train technicians on skill acquisition in solar energy to enable them raise and startup companies.

The company will also be involved in the development of a biomass plant to support the deforestation project to be implemented in an initial period of five years.

 Under the MoU, officials of the company are to visit Yankari Game Reserve with a view to showcasing the tourism potentials of the state through documentaries and to further identify sources of funding for the conservation project from international foundations.

A local training partnership in German language to support Bauchi State indigenes in vocational subjects is also signed with BruderHilfer.

The training will be conducted at the Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic, Bauchi.

 In addition to the training support, the organization formally announced a donation of 90 Mobility Carts to the Bauchi State Government.
