Bauchi Lawmaker Dies 3 Days to End Tenure

The member representing Bura Constituency of Ningi LGA in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Ado Wakili passed away barely three days before the end of his tenure.

Announcing the death of the member, the Speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Sulaiman, said the late Wakili died after a brief illness.

In a statement signed by Abdul Ahmed Burra, the speaker’s spokesman, Abubakar Sulaiman, described the late Ado as a dependable colleague and a father to all members of the house whose immense contributions are needed by all.

According to the speaker, the death of the member barely three days before the end of his tenure as a lawmaker has deeply touched and pained all Honourable Members and staff of the House.

His words: ”We lose a father, colleague and great partner at a time when his Constituency, the Honourable House and the State need his fatherly contributions the most.

“On behalf of the Honourable Members and staff of the House, I send my deep condolences to his family, the good people of Burra Constituency and Ningi Local Government Area.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.”

WikkiTimes gathered that the funeral prayer of the late Wakil is slated for 1:30 pm today at Gwallaga Juma’ah Mosque, Bauchi.
