Bauchi NDLEA Siezes 1,500kg Cannabis

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Bauchi State Command has said that it has seized 1,500 Cannabis  Sativa in the state between January to May 2022.

Commander NDLEA Bauchi Sa’idu  Mohammed said this in Bauchi.

To him, Cannabis Sativa or marijuana and psychotropic substances are the commonly abused substances in Bauchi, adding that the command currently has ten suspects in their rehabilitation unit undergoing counseling.

LEADERSHIP reports that the demand and supply reduction are the major strategies the agency deployed to address the concern of Substance Abuse in Bauchi.

Mr. Mohammed further said in a supply reduction, the Agency carries out the operations, especially on flashpoints, Black spots within the state as well as patrol teams that do stop and search thereby blocking the chances of reaching its destination.
