Bauchi SDGs trains stakeholders on strategic planning

Bauchi State Office of the Sustainable Development Goals has organized a 2 day workshop on strategic development planning for critical stakeholders that will support implementation of its projects.

The Director General and Focal Person of SDGs in the state, Honourable Maryam Garba Bagel who reiterated the need for the training says Bauchi SDGs was determined to tap the input of such stakeholders in executing its programmes.

She said the workshop will also afford the participants the opportunity to get conversant with the activities of SDGs not only on implementation but tracking intervention based on set out goals, which she argued will help them achieve the desired objectives both in the public and private sectors.

“We are developing a 3 year strategic development plan on SDGs for the entire state, so we need the inputs of the participants that will assist our state to meet the SDGs goals.”

“This workshop brings relevant partners together from civil society organizations, nongovernmental organizations and desk officers from the 20 Local Government Areas of the state.”

The Director General therefore appealed to stakeholders to give their maximum support towards achieving the objectives of organizing the workshop by deliberating on critical issues.

Stakeholders at the workshop reaffirmed their readiness to work with the Bauchi Office of the SDGs to achieve its goals.

They applauded Bauchi SDGs office for inviting key stakeholders to deliberate on the 3 year strategic development plan describing it as the first of its kind in the state.

The participants suggested for involvement of private sector in the monitoring of SDG’s projects as it will go a long way towards achieving the desired objectives.
