The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly has distributed clothing materials worth one million naira, cash to some individuals as well as groups in Ningi Central Constituency for the Eid-el-Fitri Celebrations.
WikkiTimes reports that the gesture is coming few weeks after the Speaker disbursed food items and cash as Ramadan palliative to his constituents.
The items distributed include; Gowns popularly called Babban Riga, wrappers and shadda materials.
Distributing the items on Friday in Ningi, tbe Special Adviser to the Speaker Alhaji Isah Haruna Tiffi said the gesture was done in order to alleviate the plights of the people of the constituency, particularly the Lockdown situation in the state.
“This gesture is aimed at alleviating the pligths of the people, particularly after the Lockdown situation in the state. “The Speaker, Dangaladima has so many palliative packages and development initiatives to his constituents as this are just a tip of the iceberg”, he said.
Some of the beneficiaries of the Sallah gifts include Dangaladima Central, District and Village Heads, Women Coordinators and Women Leaders, Dangaladima Campaign Coordinators, Party Officials, Dangaladima Youth Group Ningi, Dangaladima Youth Group Gangare, Dangaladima Social Media Group, Hunters Group and various individuals.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Chairman Dangaladima Social Media Group Nasiru Nayaya appreciated the Speaker for his kind gesture which, he described as routines of the Speaker.
He said that the Sallah celebration will be delightful and memorable as they were remembered by the speaker who put smiles on their faces.
