The National Union of Bauchi State Students (NUBASS) is to organize a fund raiser of N25 million to renovate its national secretariat.
National president of the union Abdulrahaman Shuaibu and secretary general Mujitafa Ibrahim Jibo disclosed this in a press release issued to journalists in Bauchi.
They noted that NUBASS had been in existence for over 42 years as a pressure group working towards improving the welfare of all Bauchi state students including those in the primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.
“It is our mission to revive the lost glory of the union in order to meet our mission and provide befitting governance in our beloved union.
“We rely on generosity of individual for support. Without the assistance of state and community minded individuals, we will not be able to serve those in the union to the taste of their wishes and desires.
“We ask that you make a commitment to support our first ever fund raising to renovate NUBASS national secretariat, lodge and laying the foundation of ICT unit by making a cash donation.
“Our goal is to raise N25 million and we hope that you will be able to make a contribution. Your generosity will make a difference in our union in this regard”. The statement reads in parts.
