A Chinese man based in Kano State has broken into the house of a young girl identified as Ummita and stabbed her to death.
The spokesman for Kano Police Command, Abdullahi Haruna told WikkiTimes the suspect has been arrested and detained pending further investigation.
According to him, the foreigner broke into the victim’s residential home through the window and stabbed her in the neck with a knife.
She was, after that, rushed to the hospital, but did not survive the wound, Haruna said.
It was rumoured that the suspect and Ummita were in a relationship. However, a slight misunderstanding between them triggered the foreigner’s action, according to social media users.
In another contradictory narrative, users claimed the suspect earlier professed love to the deceased who outrightly rejected his proposal. This, according to them vexed him to take her life.
However, social media users are demanding justice for the slain youngster.
“Why hasn’t he been burnt ?” a user queried.
The users feared that the judicial system might fail to deliver justice, hence, they suggested jungle justice.
“The fact that the government will dwell in the comfort of knowing about some qualms with having no intense sympathy breaks my heart,” a user tweeted.
“Please let’s catch the monster and kill it,” another user pleaded.
