Dogara Distributes Stashed Tricycles After WikkiTimes’ Investigation

Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives has distributed the stashed tricycles stocked in his house after WikkiTimes’ investigation.

WikkiTimes had in an exhaustive investigation revealed how a whopping N1 billion constituency project nominated by the former speaker to build model schools in Bauchi South Federal Constituency was mismanaged.

The story which detailed how the former Speaker falls short in delivering the model school project also unearthed how the contractors who were awarded the contracts shortchanged several communities billed to benefit from the project.

The report also cited how Mr Dogara stashed tricycles and books in his house meant to be distributed to the constituents and schools in the area.

After the report was published, WikkiTimes’ Publisher Haruna Mohammed Salisu was threatened.

Dogara’s solicitors also wrote to the medium demanding a retraction and an apology, arguing that the UBEC contract does not exist and the publication was “malicious and defamatory.”

But WikkiTimes stood its ground, insisting, its story was credible.
A visit however to Mr Dogara’s house shows that the stashed tricycles were distributed to beneficial owners.

A resident who does not want to be named told our reporter that “The Former Speaker has ordered that the tricycles be distributed to people. “Although I have not personally benefited, many in Gwarangha got the tricycles”, he said.
