Emir of Misau Drums For Peace Among Farmers, Herders

The Emir of Misau Alhaji Ahmed Sulaiman has charged farmers and readers to live in peace with one another just as he enjoined his subjects to continue praying for continued peaceful coexistence in the country as we approach the 2023 general elections.

The Emir said this in his Sallah message to the people of Misau Emirate, calling on his subjects to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and sacrifice as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and other prophets before him.

He said that the month of Zul-Hijjah is full of abundant blessings from Allah hence the need for the people to intensify acts of worship in the month and beyond.

Alhaji Ahmed Sulaiman emphasised the need for continued peaceful coexistence called on the people to be prayerful for the country to overcome the numerous challenges facing the country while calling on those that were opportunity the to observe the sacrifice to help those that didn’t get the chance to do so.

While expressing appreciation for the cooperation and support given to the emirate by its people, the Paramount ruler ordered traditional and religious leaders within the emirate to mobilize their subjects on the need to continue praying for God’s intervention in the numerous security challenges and economic hardship bedeviling the country and to have a bumper harvest this season.

Earlier while leading the two raka’at prayers held at the Central Mosques Misau, the Deputy Chief Imam of the emirate, Malam Usman Alhaji, enjoined Muslims to be steadfast in the act of Ibadat, saying Eid-el-Kabir is a time to reflect on the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) and called on those that have the means to observe the sacrifice.

The Eid prayer was attended by the Executive Chairman Misau, District Head of Chiroma, other traditional title holders, and hundreds of Muslim faithful despite the heavy rainfall witnessed during the prayer.
