Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the re-elected governor of Bauchi State and his deputy, Mohammed Auwal Jatau have been administered oaths of office and allegiance by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar.
The governor was sworn-in at this afternoon while his deputy was administered oath of office at about 11:50 am on Monday amid mammoth crowd at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium.
The governor who was re-elected for another four years tenure inspected a special parade organized by the operatives of Nigeria Police Force.
Both the governor and his deputy were accompanied to the ceremony by their wives.
The acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Damagun attended the event. Also, the six first class emirs in the state were present at the occasion.
