Suspected gunmen have stormed Bununu, headquarters of Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi and abducted two people, WikkiTimes can authoritatively report.

The gunmen stormed the LG headquarters at about 12:30 am on Tuesday and abducted one Ummu Hani and her daughter, Hafsat.
Multiple sources told WikkiTimes that the kidnappers operated for more than 30 minutes unhindered.

“At about 12:30 am, the gunmen stormed Bununu, and entered the market side and started shooting sporadically to scare people around whose houses were closed to the market side.
“Their target was to abduct Abdulmumini Gayya popularly known as Jango. He is a popular businessman in Bununu town”, Zaradeen Jambil, a resident of Bununu told WikkiTimes on phone.
Another source who pledged anonymity told WikkiTimes that; “the target of the kidnappers was to abduct Jango himself, but he escaped their trap and found his wife and daughter.”
The source added that; “we suspect that informants might have given the kidnappers prior information about the businessman because they only raided his house.”
WikkiTimes could not get the reaction of the Bauchi Police Command as of press time.
