The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday distributed sensitive materials for Saturday’s re-run elections in 46 polling units in Sokoto State.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the re-run would hold in Yabo/Shagari Federal Constituency and Bodinga, Tambuwal state constituencies.
Mrs Hauwa Kangiwa, the state INEC Administrative Secretary, who inspected the materials alongside other stakeholders, reassured of free, fair and credible election.
She said that all arrangements had been finalised to dispatch the sensitive materials to respective local government areas for distribution to polling units.

Kangiwa said that adequate security measures had been taken to ensure hitch-free and smooth exercise.
“We have been given assurance by the security agencies to deploy enough personnel.
“No fewer than 15 policemen are expected to oversee each polling unit,” she said.
Kangiwa said that all election equipment were in good working condition with contingencies in place to address any unforeseen eventuality.
