The Lagos State Government says it is ready to pay the new thirty thousand national minimum wage and even a little above it.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave the assurance during separate meetings between him and labour Unions in the State.
According to the Governor, the willingness of the State to pay a little above the new wage being demanded by the Unions is in recognition of the socio-economic status of Lagos and the attendant impacts of living in a growing smart city which workers in the State have to battle with
