Kano Gov, Yusuf, Appoints 44 Social Media Footsoldiers

As part of the latest wave of appointments, Abba Kabir Yusuf, Kano State Governor has appointed 44 social media activists as Senior Special Reporters and Special Reporters respectively.

The appointees are billed to spine online on the policies and programmes of the NNPP-led administration in the state.

WikkiTimes reports that Governor Yusuf had in a tsunami of appointments in August this year, appointed 81 aides with 52 of them to serve as Special Advisers; 10 Senior Special Assistants and 42 Special Assistants.

Sanusi Bature, Chief Press Secretary to the governor announced the appointments on Saturday in a statement made available to reporters in Kano.

Two vocal social media supporters of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Abdullahi Ibrahim (known on X as Kwankwason Tuwita) and Hassan Sani Tukur (known on X as Noble Hassan) were appointed as Senior Special Assistants for Digital Media and New Media respectively.

He added that the governor also approved the appointment of 14 Special Advisers and 57 Senior Special Assistants.
