Sanusi Bature, the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Kano State Governor, said the state government has made adequate security arrangements to ensure hitch-free activities during the visit by the First Lady, Mrs Oluremi Tinubu to Kano on Monday.
Bature announced this while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano on Sunday.
The First Lady’s visit to Kano is to inaugurate the Faculty of Law Building named after her at the Maryam Abacha University, Kano.
According to Bature, the state government, alongside the police, had drafted a compressive security network on how to provide the required security at each of the places that the First Lady would visit.
The state government, therefore appealed to residents of the state to conduct themselves peacefully and come out en masse to receive Mrs Tinubu.
The Director General added that the state government and security agencies were working round the clock to provide a peaceful atmosphere for the visitors.
Meanwhile, WikkiTimes reports that Governor Abba Yusuf of the state said he would meet President Bola Tunibu over the economic hardship the Nigerian masses are going through.
