Kogi Poly Expels 313 Students for Poor Academic Performance

The head of the Public Relations and Protocol unit of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Uredo Omale, has confirmed the withdrawal of 313 students from the institution due to poor academic performances in the 2022/2023 academic session

The withdrawal, according to her, followed the consideration of the report of the Academic Board Central Result Verification Committee at the meeting of the board held on June 22.

The 313 students were withdrawn from 17 departments and 28 prgrammes in the institution.
She said 43 students were withdrawn from ND1 Office Technology and Management. This was followed by ND1 Public Administration with 39 and ND1 Information and Library Science with 28 withdrawn students

The Rector of the institution, Dr Salisu Ogbo, who served as the chairman of the committee, stated that the decision to withdraw the students was aimed at breeding worthy academic ambassadors and maintaining high educational standards.

He tasked students to make adequate use of learning facilities in the institution in order to excel in their chosen careers while shunning social vices within and outside the campus.
