NBTE boss pledges meeting IPPIS, ASUP over membership enrolment

In a move to address pending issues relating to members’ enrollment, the Executive Secretary of National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Dr Mas’ud kazaure has promised to facilitate a tripartite meeting between Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information  (IPPIS), the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) and the board.

Dr. kazaure who made the promise when he hosted the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics in his office expressed optimisms that the board will soon resolve the issues because the 2020 budget is more promising.

“The Ministry of education will soon convey inter-agency meeting to address Contiss 15 migration and other pressing issues bordering members of the union,” the NBTE scribe hinted.

While appealing to the unions to exercise more patient, Dr. Kazaure said that the board under his leadership is working assiduously to clear all pending matters this year.

The national president of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Comrade Anderson Ezibe informed the Executive Secretary of the NBTE that they were in his office to cement further relationship between the board and ASUP and to also call for speedy action in respect of grey areas.

The grey areas according to him includes; implementation of 2019 reviewed Polytechnics Act, IPPIS enrolment, stalled FGN/ASUP renegotiation, revitalization funds, resolution of Contiss15, among others.

Comrade Ezibe commended the efforts of the Executive Secretary of the board for his intervention on the victimization of ASUP members in some polytechnics across the country.
