NNPP Wins Fagge Federal Constituency in Kano

The Candidate of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Barrister Muhammad B. Shehu has been declared winner of the Fagge Federal Constituency in Kano State.

Shehu emerged victorious after a supplementary elections conducted today.

He defeated the incumbent Aminu Sulaiman Goro of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who attempted to return for the fourth term to the Green Chamber.

Announcing the results, the Returning Officer, Professor Ibrahim Suraj declared that Shehu scored 19, 024 votes, followed by the Labour Party candidate, Shuaibu Abubakar who polled 12, 789 votes while Goro of APC came a distant third with 8, 669 votes.

“That Barrister MB. Shehu of the NNPP, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes is declared winner of the election,” the Returning Officer announced.

At today’s supplementary election, the NNPP led with 609 votes, while APC came second with 268 votes, followed by LP with 60 votes.
