Relatives and friends of deceased persons buried at Wurakum graveyard in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State have decried the spate of disentombing the bodies of their beloved ones by ‘ritualists.’
On several occasions, tombs are found to be tampered with after a few days of burials. Aminu Ahmad Babayo, the community’s head, chatting with Daily Trust said the development was disturbing.

Babayo urged the perpetrators to “fear Allah”, adding they would be accountable for their action hereafter.
His words: “In some cases, when the corpses are exhumed, body parts would be removed, and in some other cases, the graves would be dug and something inserted in them, possibly for ritual purposes.”
